set of 120 stereo voices for the Ensoniq ESQ-1, ESQ-M and SQ-80 synthesizers.
The Fundamental 80 double-module covers a complete spectrum of imitative voices,
while the Unicorn Series I 40-voice module provides a diverse selection of
orchestral, synthesizer and unique voices.
The Modular Voice System utilizes a modular approach to organizing voices
that also provides a system for organizing your existing sound library. Storing
the Fundamental 80 voices in an 80-voice EEPROM (RAM) cartridge allows you
to load various 40-voice modules, such as the supplied Unicorn Series I, into
internal memory. The Fundamental 80 voices are always instantly available
from the cartridge. Create your own modules from your existing library of
sounds and load them as you need them. If you need a RAM cartridge, SOUND
LOGIC offers one for only $20 when purchased with the Modular Voice System.
The ESQMVS utilize all of the controller capabilities of the Ensoniq ESQ-1/ESQ-M
and SQ-80 to give the musician full performance control. The Control-Voltage
Pedal (Ensoniq CVP-1) is utilized extensively, and Poly-Pressure ("aftertouch")
is implemented throughout for those with the SQ-80 or other pressure- sensing
master keyboard. All voices have been designed to make full use of the stereo
capabilities of the ESQ-1, ESQ-M and SQ-80.
The 64-page manual contains program sheets and performance notes for all 120
voices. It shows how each voice was designed and explains how each should
be played. For those who do not mind pushing buttons, the manual is available
separately for $18.95. This can be applied later to the purchase of the complete
system.

Musicians are special people. Our music instruments must be beautifully
crafted, solidly built and technically superior. SOUND LOGIC is dedicated to

for new products and suggestions for improving our existing products are always
welcome. They are the single most important factor in keeping our products the
finest. In return, all owners of SOUND LOGIC products receive special
introductory prices on new products, free upgrades and unlimited phone support.
SOUND LOGIC is committed to excellence.
Mik Adams has owned and operated Sound Logic along with his wife, Sharon, since
1987. Mik is an electronics engineer with thirty years experience as a
musician. Mik started playing in nite clubs when he was fifteen. His band, The
Futuras, played the Portland circuit with Paul Revere & The Raiders and The
Kingsmen. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronic
Engineering from Arizona State University in 1970, Mik worked in research and
development for Fender and Sunn. He owned repair shops in Oregon and Arizona
where he did custom modification and repair on electrical music instruments and
amplifiers. He developed one of the first "phase-shifter" chorusing
devices and distortion devices. His first keyboard setup was an old Farfisa
Combo Compact organ ran through a "wah-waw" pedal and a PAIA
single-voice kit synthesizer ran through an octave-divider to give it two
voices an octave apart. In 1979, Mik and his family moved to the rural town of
Ramona, 35 miles northeast of San Diego. Here Mik worked until 1987 when he
quit his job to devote full time to his musical pursuits. In striving to
perfect his music lab, Mik has developed several very useful accessories
including a complete sound system for the Ensoniq ESQ-1 and SQ-80 using a
modular approach, and a simple and effective device for organizing foot pedals
and switches.
The SOUND LOGIC Modular Voice System for the ESQ-1, ESQ-M, and SQ-80 is
designed to be the most versatile and powerful voice system for these
synthesizers. Each voice is designed to be unique so that modifications will
yield new sounds that won't be redundant with the other voices in the system.
You get 120 voices. The eighty conventional voices are loaded into an E¨PROM
(RAM) cartridge. You then can load 40-voice modules of your unique and special
sounds into the ESQ-1 or SQ-80's internal memory and still have regular sounds
instantly available from your cartridge banks.
